The Black Canyon Bowmen club sponsors two major archery events each year. The 3-D Freeze out Hill Shoot held in March and the Mountain Shoot at Herrick Reservoir held Memorial Day weekend.

Members also participate in an annual clean up of Joe's Creek Trail on the Boise National Forest. The summer of 2009 marked the 20th year the club has undertaken this project. It normally takes place in July and has evolved into an overnight campout and cookout.
Providing financial support to local community projects is a mainstay of the club and one that instills a strong feeling of gratification in the membership.
